Egyptian President Morsi Joins Preacher in Prayer for Dispersal of the Jews!President Mursi is seen listening to cleric Futouh Abd Al-Nabi Mansour, the local head of religious endowment on 19 October 2012, where Futouh Abd Al-Nabi Mansour led ritualistic denunciation of the infidels and the Jews. Morsi had travelled to north-western Matrouh to deliver a speech on Egyptian unity at El-Tenaim Mosque. The prayers were broadcast on Egyptian state television and translated by MEMRI. Middle East media watchdog Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) translated the clip of Mansour’s speech:
“Oh Allah, absolve us of our sins, strengthen us, and grant us victory over the infidels. Oh Allah, deal with the Jews and their supporters. Oh Allah, disperse them, rend them asunder. Oh Allah, demonstrate your might and greatness upon them. Show us your omnipotence, oh Lord.”**
Looking sober in prayers, the President sat cross-legged answering “amen” as Futouh Abd Al-Nabi Mansour led the ritualistic 'Duaa's' after the prayers. So did Mursi really intended that any of those curses come through true? Though His visit to Egypt’s northwest was about Egyptian unity. Morsi reiterated in his speech soon after the prayers that he will maintain Egypt’s 1979 peace treaty with Israel.
On one hand Mursi was seen say 'Amen' earnestly to the prayers of the cleric; on the other Morsi’s new ambassador to Israel had presented his credentials to President Shimon Peres just a week before with a letter from Mursi that raised a heated debate in Egypt. Initially the letter was termed as a “Zionist fabrication” but Morsi’s office incorrigibly established the authenticity of the letter following the resolve of the Muslim Brotherhood. Morsi wrote in his letter to President Peres of Israel:
Great and good friend, being desirous of maintaining and strengthening the cordial relations which so happily exist between our two countries, I have selected Mr. Atef Mohamed Salem Sayed El Ahl to be our ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary.” Morsi signed off with “highest esteem and consideration.” In early July, Morsi wrote his first letter to Peres saying “I am looking forward to exerting our best efforts to get the Middle East peace process back to its right track in order to achieve security and stability for all peoples of the region, including the Israeli people,” and added “It was with deep thanks that I received your congratulations on the advent of the Holy Month of Ramadan. After such letters how could Mursi utter Amen to the clerics pleadings of intervention of destruction from Allah. ''Oh Allah, deal with the Jews and their supporters. Oh Allah, disperse them, rend them asunder. ''
The Memri distributed video depicts the intrinsic popular will of the rank and file of the Brotherhood and the realities on ground that demands peaceful coexistence. Such video depictions are very awkward for the president, he is put in a position of discomposure. He is caught between hard and a rock; if he is ever asked ‘Do you agree with what Sheikh Futouh ? He cannot answer in yes or no!

The mandatory five prayers a day that each faithful recites every day include various censures by virtue of broad-brush interpretations of the scriptures, like cursed are those who are deviated from the righteous holy path prescribed by the Allah. The “straight path” is Islam; the path of those who have earned Allah’s anger are the Jews, and those who have gone astray are the Christians. This is the interpretation of Muslim commentators like Tabari, Zamakhshari, and Ibn Kathir the renowned Quranic commentator.
These post prayers Duaa's and tearful besotted pleadings are rooted in the mis-interpretations probably of the Surih's and Ahadiths highlighted above; people, geography and history are in flux and dynamics of change demand that since underlying facts of what defines a clash between civilisation and cultures have changed in last 1400 years; the mindsets need to evolve and change to find a new common ground of existence, nations cannot live with the hypocrisy of diplomatic courtesy and urges of total annihilation.
For example Al-Fatiha is read minimum of 17 times each day due to the mandatory five prayers a day. In Surih Al-Fatiha faithful pray to Allah: “Show us the straight path, the path of those whom Thou hast favoured; not the (path) of those who earn Thine anger nor of those who go astray.” The Jews are accursed ones according to the interpretations of leading figures , the Hadiths also are presented linking Jews to Allah’s anger and Christians to his curse. Who are those who have gone astray? May be the enemy is within! May be we need to revisit these and look at the broader implications and greater Ijtihad for a better understanding and a better world.
4: 46 Of the Jews there are those who displace words from their (right) places and say: "We hear and we disobey"; and "Hear what is not heard": and "Ra'ina"; with a twist of their tongues and a slander to faith. If only they had said: "We hear and we obey"; and "Do hear"; and "Do look at us": it would have been better for them and more proper; but Allah hath cursed them for their unbelief; and but few of them will believe.
5: 51 O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: they are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them for friendship is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.
5: 64 The Jews say: "Allah's hand is tied up." Be their hands tied up and be they accursed for the (blasphemy) they utter. Nay both His hands are widely outstretched: He giveth and spendeth (of His bounty) as He pleaseth. But the revelation that cometh to thee from Allah increaseth in most of them their obstinate rebellion and blasphemy. Amongst them We have placed enmity and hatred till the Day of Judgment. Every time they kindle the fire of war Allah doth extinguish it; but they (ever) strive to do mischief on earth. And Allah loveth not those who do mischief.
9: 29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His apostle nor acknowledge the religion of truth (even if they are) of the People of the Book until they pay the Jizya with willing SUBMISSION and feel themselves HUMILIATED.

On his death-bed Allah's Apostle put a sheet over his face and when he felt hot, he would remove it from his face. The Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) said: If you gain a victory over the men of Jews, kill them. So Muhayyisah jumped over Shubaybah, a man of the Jewish merchants. He had close relations with them. He then killed him. At that time Huwayyisah (brother of Muhayyisah) had not embraced Islam. He was older than Muhayyisah. When he killed him, Huwayyisah beat him and said: O enemy of Allah, I swear by Allah, you have a good deal of fat in your belly from his property.
Mursi in this video in a 'pious way inoffensively' practising the traditional ritualistic rants derived selectivity from the above mentioned interpretation of scriptural verses. Listening to the cleric and performing his ritualistic duty with closed mindedness and lack of reason in this contemporary age of co-habitation is not very helpful and accommodative. The Peace treaties at this moment are lost as priority in his mind though the ink on the letters to President Perez had not even dried.
These pleadings and near tearful urgings of the wrath and destruction from the Allah on Jews have so far remained unrequited from Allah. If one only looks at a single important yardstick representative of graceful human intellect and look closely at the comparison between Jewish Nobel Prize Winners vs. Islamic Nobel Prize Winners.
