@People speak in favour of Taliban. But they can never live even for a week under Taliban rule. To all those people who are Taliban supporters, you better live under the theocracy of Taliban in order to realize who you are supporting. And then if you think Malala's act of speaking up against Taliban wasn't so much of a courageous task, then try speaking against Taliban when you live under their rule. Wait you do not dare to speak against your beloved terrorists even when you live in Islamabad.
Taliban is their collective expedient alter ego. The opposite of who one usually is, a hippie's alter ego would be a fascist dictator, in the case of a faithful a PhD/MBA from Harvard his alter ego would be Talebanic mindset.
This strange ambivalence between deeds and thought is the dilemma of a society that is totally confused, none of them want to live like with them but yet they' adore them. We see after every dinner these 'babu' 'burping and farting' holding a glass of whiskey recalling the glory times of the Ummah and expounding the defeat of the infidels, praising brazenly the evil Talibans the vandals who are the principal architects of this fitna. They who praise the vandals unashamedly usually work/educated in the west , they would be vying for their children to end up in the best western secular universities though never in the 'native heart delight Islamic Darul ulooms.' This contradiction and dichotomy is a killer disease. They gain from the 'dole' of the west yet are frantically abhorrent and critical of the society they live in. They exemplify the ultimate destroyer 'Mir Jafari trait' that of fickleness, betrayal and treachery.
Great resilient nations are based on fighting poverty and eradicating it, building democratic societies, preventing crisis, enabling recovery, protecting the environment, halting disease, empowering women, growing national capacity of youth development, this is not what Taliban are looking for, they are asserting 'Jihad fee sabeelullah' to create an Islamic Emirate of AfPak with nukes. The Talibans does not have any of the priorities to improve the lot of people they think that 'Pain in this world with the gain of houries in the next is the only battle call.' AfPak for them is Dar ul Harb and they want to make it Darul Islam extending it on to North of Inida one day. The lamb like silence of people and rip van winkle of a sleep has added a new aspect that of 'absolute lack of disapproving voices across the board.' The broad spectrum of the society is caught in a 'Petty Hearst' kind of willing 'hostage syndrome' they don't mind Taliban killing their children as far they are a big pain/nuisance for their presumed bigger and more lethal infidel enemies. In a blood v/s faith, blood is apparently superfluous. I have yet to see a nation so peaceful and complacent with her killers, the terrorists have claimed more than 5000 victims from Talebanic suicide bombing spree. Being at peace with the killer of their children is an insane way this 'unique' nation operates, they are not even sure today if this is their war! They hypocritically pray for institution of Taliban Cannibalistic justice all around as far they can still party with Nick Jaeger. The so called 'open minded and educated follow a strategy of appeasement against Taliban and other radical movements in Pakistan. This thinking will be a short and a dangerous episode with long term consequences for Pakistan.
This heartless and unresolved mindset has made them a enthusiastic logical bed partners of Taliban, this is 'blow hot blow cold' at its best, this is the picture of a confused brown sahib desi, who is neither here nor there. That what I see all across. This is the reason why even the most liberal is the most hardened ideologue. Wrong exaggerated sense of historical enormity hammered and embedded from the infancy. Silent majority doesn't mind pre-eminence and ascendancy of 'Caliphate' of Islam thus trying to regain the paradise lost of the Caliphate where Islam reigned supreme. They don't realize that with their insistence on dogma the tolerance and revival was killed when reason was assassinated.
All this roots from their inner desire to see the banner of political Islam unfurled. Destruction of all the 'super powers' and 're-emergence' of a society that has a self assumed history of 1400 years of immensity though they have been tearing each other like hyenas from Saqifa Bani Saeda, a shedded notorious place in Madina which belonged to the tribe of Bani Saeda, where generally people assembled to hatch conspiracies. [Gaisul Logaat page 408]. Saqifa is one of the most dramatic events in Islamic History that eventually led to a triumphant Abu Bakr attaining the station of Khalifa following the death of the Prophet. The schism of Islam today roots in Saqifa. The modern Sunni scholar Dr Rahim in his simplified analysis of history writes: "Being informed of the proceedings of the Ansars, Abu Bakr, Umar and Abu Ubaidah hastened to the meeting place and were there just in time to interrupt the finalization of the Ansars choice of Sa'd ibn Ubaidah to the successor ship of the Prophet. Ali was at that time busy in preparing the coffin of the Prophet, and did not know anything about the meeting of the Ansars to elect a successor.
This AfPak region still buys lovingly into any insane conspiracy theory, though 911 even ex- 'Ameer and the author of 'Takfir' that Al Qaeda used as tool of jurisprudence to kill indiscriminately' has recanted the thinking of Al Qaeda as a deadly philosophy. "Every drop of blood that was shed or is being shed in Afghanistan and Iraq is the responsibility of bin Laden and Zawahiri and their followers," writes Dr Fadl. Dr Fadl thinks 9/11 "a catastrophe for Muslims," because Al Qaeda's actions "caused the death of tens of thousands of Muslims—Arabs, Afghans, Pakistanis and others." This is no less a person but 'Sayyid Imam al-Sharif,' aka Dr Fadl, the person who helped bin Laden create al-Qaeda. Fadl is reported to be one of the first members of Al Qaeda's top council. Sharif, a surgeon who is still known by his underground name of "Dr Fadl", is famous as the author of the Salafi jihadists' "bible" - Foundations of Preparation for Holy War. Twenty years ago, Dr Fadl became al-Qaeda's intellectual figurehead with a crucial book setting out the rationale for global jihad against the West. He is said to be "one of Ayman Al-Zawahiri's oldest associates, and his book Al-'Unda fi I'dad Al-'Udda ("The Essentials of Making Ready [for Jihad]"), was used as a jihad manual in Al-Qaeda training camps in Afghanistan. It was like what Das Kapital was to the Marxists.
The urge of the faithful today to reinstall of what is in self written history erroneously known as the 'era of the great Islamic empires' like the fragmented Mughals, or the Ottomans or the Mumluks. Like all other conquerors of history they were conquerors too, but unlike Chengiz Khan they also brought a holy book to follow. Mongols left the conquered lands as the 'Khans died but Islamic conquests left a legacy of millions of hardcore faithful. Ironically the 'converted' much more enthusiastic than the original desert Arabs their masters of the faith. Little the faithful appreciate that the era of golden hordes descending from the deserts and steppes on to riparian lowlands of peaceful pagans and the infidel nations are over, those pagans now hit back hard. The rage of inaction has led to this ' rage of impotence' that is killing what is them. The dimwits instead of discussing the cause of this war with a strong backdrop set in the global fatwa of Al-Qaeda 'Allah's license to kill Jews and Americans' refuse to accept that OBL/KSM 911 even ever happened.
Nations are known as distinguished if their populations are provided facilities that may help grow their HDI's. There is no 'Index' to measure the faith, yet there is this HDI that measures human success at eradicating ignorance and disease. Sadly, AfPak are at the bottom heap of Human development Index though ignorant Taliban top the list of most predatory behaviour, like shooting a 15 year old in the head. The Human Development Index (HDI) is a comparative measure of life expectancy, literacy, education, standards of living, and quality of life for countries worldwide. It is a standard means of measuring well-being, especially child welfare. It is used to distinguish whether the country is a developed, a developing or an underdeveloped country, and also to measure the impact of economic policies on quality of life. The index was developed in 1990 by Pakistani economist Mahbub ul Haq and Indian economist Amartya Sen. AfPak region and Taliban deny education, health egalitarianism or prosperity yet spending most on transgression and internecine wars. Look at Syria, see Iraq and look at AfPak, look at Egypt!! The gender inequality index GII, seeks to expose differences in the distribution of achievements between women and men taking into account gender disparities in health, empowerment and the labour market. The Netherlands ranks top, followed by Sweden, Switzerland, Denmark and Norway. Yemen scores lowest on the GII, followed by Afghanistan, Niger, Saudi Arabia. The ten bottom ranking countries are all in sub Saharan Africa, with war torn Democratic Republic of Congo in last place. There is a huge gap in life expectancy and schooling between the top and bottom ranked countries.
The silence support of the vandals of today stems from their reminisces of times when they were the masters, when they usurped people, when they conquered lands, ruled South Asia for a 1,000 years, fought amongst each other's like wolves, acted most undemocratically, yet they cherish the rule where they 'ruled' the masses with ironclad stone age desert oriented 'holy' enjoined jurisprudence and legislation. They were not like today the sidekicks dependent on functioning through hand outs from the IMF, they were the rulers, they had Bait-ul-Mals, they would transport the entire treasury from the conquered land to their capital cities. Naturally IMF today for such valiant warrior masters of the world is a tough medicine. Taliban ferocious and uncouth manners remind them of the great victors of Islam's glorious past.
Professor Karsh's book rejects the customary hypothesis that Western Colonialism created the grave plague of Islamic fanaticism stretching from Egypt, Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan and Indonesia. The author writes that the principal origin of Islamic radicalism is not merely a reaction to the Western prying in their nations affairs but rather a profound and ingrained craving in the predetermined Islamic belief to expand Islamic authority throughout the world. Karsh says that "Arabs and Muslims unabashedly dream for the restoration of Spain" under Muslim control even though Spain has been lost to the Islamic world for centuries since the Fall of Granada in 1492. Osama bin Laden himself lamentably referred to "the tragedy of Andalusia" after the September 11, 2001 attacks as if to suggest that Muslims were still the legitimate and equitable owners of Spain rather than measly invading occupiers. Same is the feeling of Lashker-e- Tyaaba and TTP vis a vis Hindustan in Pakistan. The desire of unfurling the Mughal flag on the Red Fort never dies.
This is why they love Taliban, because Taliban once again thorough the barrel of the gun present the only autocratic way they consider they all can re-install the 'writ of Allah on hundreds of millions' and retake the lands which in their opinion were wrongly expropriated from them. Once conquered is always conquered. Everyone claims Talebinizsation and Ladenism a creation of last few decades, it is not so!! The history of 'Talibenic mindset is set in the genes of the ideology they faithfully follow. 'Bolo bolo kuch tu bolo!' Say something, don't keep shut.
